Terms and Conditions

Effective January 1, 2026

Blockworks Oxnard Concrete and Masonry, oxnardconcreteandmasonry.com, hello@oxnardconcreteandmasonry.com

Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Blockworks Oxnard Concrete and Masonry website and any estimate, scheduling or work you arrange with us through it. By using the site or booking work with us, you agree to them, so please read them before you call or send a request.

If a written estimate or contract for your job says something different from this page, the signed document for that job controls. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the site, and call us at (805) 342-2830 with any questions first.

What we do

Blockworks Oxnard Concrete and Masonry is a masonry contractor in Oxnard, CA, and we also do concrete work. Our crew handles jobs like brick and block walls, retaining walls, foundation and chimney repair, tuckpointing, pavers, walkways, stone veneer, fireplaces and outdoor kitchens for homes in Oxnard and the cities around it. We're fully licensed and insured.

The descriptions on our home page and service pages explain the work in general terms. They aren't a promise that a given method, material or result fits your house, because we only know that once we've seen the site. You can read more about who we are on our about page.

Estimates and pricing

We give free quotes on site, with no obligation. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the day, along with the materials, access and scope you've described to us.

The price can change if the job turns out to be different once it's open, for example hidden damage, soil or drainage problems, or changes you ask for along the way. When that happens, we tell you what we found and what it changes before we do the added work, and we don't go ahead on extra cost without your approval.

Any prices or cost information on this website are general and aren't a quote for your job. An estimate stays good for the time written on it, because material prices and our schedule change.

Scheduling and cancellation

We set a start date with you once you accept the estimate. Masonry and concrete work depends on weather, material deliveries, inspections where a job needs them and how the site looks once work starts, so dates can move. When they do, we let you know as soon as we can and set a new date with you.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please tell us as early as you can by phone or through our contact page. If materials have been ordered, custom cut or delivered, or work has started, you may owe for those costs as set out in your written estimate or contract. Your contract may also give you cancellation rights under California law, and nothing on this page takes those away.

Payment terms

Payment amounts, due dates and any deposit are set out in your written estimate or contract. Please pay on the schedule it gives, because we order materials and hold crew time for your job based on it.

If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's settled. You're responsible for reasonable costs we incur to collect an unpaid balance, to the extent California law allows.

Your part of the job

You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to tell us what you know about the property, such as underground lines, sprinklers, drainage problems, property lines and any homeowners association rules. If something you know about isn't shared and it causes damage or delay, we can't be responsible for it.

You're responsible for confirming property lines and for any approvals your HOA requires. Where a job needs a permit, the details of who arranges it go in your estimate or contract.

Warranties and what they don't cover

We stand behind our work, and your satisfaction is guaranteed. If something isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it. Any written warranty for your job is stated in your contract, and that written warranty is the only one we give.

Concrete and masonry move with the ground and weather, so small hairline cracks, color differences between batches and natural variation in brick and stone are normal and aren't defects. Warranties don't cover damage from settling soil, flooding, earthquakes, tree roots, misuse, lack of upkeep or changes someone else makes to our work. Material makers' own warranties pass to you as the maker offers them.

This website and its content are provided as is. We try to keep it accurate, but we don't promise that every page is complete, current or free of errors.

Limits on our liability

To the extent California law allows, Blockworks Oxnard Concrete and Masonry isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost use of your property, lost income or costs from delays outside our control. Our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

We aren't responsible for delays or problems caused by things we can't control, including weather, material shortages, utility issues, inspection delays or acts of nature. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Sorting out disagreements

If you're unhappy with something, call us at (805) 342-2830 or reach us through the contact page first. Most problems get fixed faster with a conversation and a visit to the site than any other way, so we ask that you give us a chance to make it right before taking other steps.

If we can't settle it together, either of us may bring the matter in the state or federal courts serving Ventura County, California, unless your written contract sets a different process.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to rules that would apply another state's law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the one that applies to your use of the site. Changes don't alter a signed estimate or contract you already have with us, which stays as written unless we both agree to change it.

Questions about these terms can go to us by phone at (805) 342-2830 or through the contact page.
